United Hospital Center set up a stand Friday for National Wear Red Day.

UHC provided visitors with information about heart disease and ways to prevent it.

The visitors also sampled "healthy snack options."

"Create awareness with heart disease related to women," said Rhonda Perkey, R.N., UHC Cardiac Rehab. "A lot of times women don't realize they are having heart issues because their symptoms are more vague than they are with men."

Perkey said 90 percent of women have at least one heart disease risk factor.
