Some Monongalia County kids have reason to smile Friday after seeing the dentist.

The Monongalia County Health Department's Dental Clinic offered free cleanings for kids without dental insurance Friday as part of "Give Kids a Smile Day".

Doctors said caring for baby teeth is important to the development of adult teeth.

The WVU School of Dentistry will also hold free cleanings next Friday, as part of Give Kids A Smile Day.
