The Taylor County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Bridgeport couple and charged them with child neglect.
Catherine Suzanne Mceldowney, 33, and Aaron Clay Mceldowney, 35, are accused of having 'foils' that they were using to smoke opiates and marijuana, according to a criminal complaint. The pair told police that they were smoking between five and 10 Percocet pain killers a day.
Police found equipment including soda bottles and chemicals that are commonly used to make methamphetamine, according to the criminal complaint. The Mceldowney's also admitted to using bath salts and neglecting their children for at least the last six months due to their opiate addiction.
The Mceldowney's are being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $3,000 bail each.
