BRIDGEPORT -
The Bridgeport Development Authority met Monday to discuss projects going on at different locations throughout Bridgeport.
In addition to discussing development at the Meadowbrook Mall, development at White Oaks, and the comprehensive plan, the Development Authority discussed the new grocery store coming to downtown Bridgeport.
First the company will finish building the Shop N' Save in Adamston, then one in Greensburg, PA, and then it's Bridgeport's turn.
"Once those two stores are complete, they're saying that in 2014 they will begin construction of a Shop N' Save here in downtown Bridgeport. It's going to be located on a parcel of land, two or three acres, directly across from Oliverio's Ristorante," said John E. Strogran, President of the Bridgeport Development Authority.
The Authority also discussed the Sheetz being put in at White Oaks.
Construction has started on the building, and unlike other Sheetz in the area, it will have a drive thru.
