Several fire departments responded to a house fire in Harrison County Tuesday morning.
The fire occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m. in the Bethlehem community of Harrison County.
Shinnston Fire Department's deputy chief said that two people were home at the time of the fire and had experienced electrical difficulties while working in the basement. When the two went upstairs, they found a room on fire, officials said.
Officials said the electrical difficulties were the cause of the fire.
The house is a total loss.
Bridgeport, Shinnston, and Worthington Fire Departments, and Spelter, Nutter Fort, and Lumberport Volunteer Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
