ELKINS -

The United Way of Randolph County is gearing up for another "Live United" Telethon.

It will be Saturday, February 9 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Beverly Elementary School.

The United Way said it hopes to raise $30,000 this year.

It will appeal for pledges and relay challenges.

The telethon also will have plenty of interviews and live music.

"The theme this year is a round up for Randolph County so it will have a western theme. Just fun day event, a great way for local folks to contribute to United Way and have a little fun. They're going to know somebody during the day helping United Way," said Gary Clay, of the United Way of Randolph County.

The telethon will be televised on the county's cable access channel and streamed online, on WDNE Radio.
