The commission will pursue broadcasting its weekly meetings on Government Access Channel 15, possibly starting in September.

In December, Judge Tim Sweeney ruled floodplain ordinance in Doddridge County unconstitutional.

Floodplain coordinator Dan Wellings said a new ordinance is in the works.

"We hope to have something in place and ready to get rolling on in two weeks at the next meeting. But wanted to make sure that we have a version that will meet FEMA in Charleston and is acceptable," Wellings said.

Wellings said three floodplain permits are pending in Doddridge County.
