A Lewis County man pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter Wednesday in Lewis County Circuit Court.

Gary Wiant pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Cory Burkhart, a man with Downs Syndrome.

Wiant killed Burkhart in a struggle last year. He was dating Burkhart's mother at the time.

Angela Burkhart also faces charges in the case.

Her case was continued to Friday.

A judge will sentence Wiant on April 1.
