With pools finally opening up and temperatures usually rising, Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. But you wouldn't have known judging by how empty local pools were Saturday, when temperatures lingered in the 60s.
CLARKSBURG -
The Clarksburg Police Department arrested a Fairmont man for stabbing his wife after the couple had an argument on Wednesday night.
According to the criminal complaint, Bryan Wynder and his wife Chelsea Sims got into an argument near the VFW in Clarksburg around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Wynder pushed Sims, which caused her phone to fall to the ground. Sims picked up her phone and tried to get into a taxi cab to get away from Wynder. While Sims was getting into the cab, Wynder stabbed her with a kitchen knife, causing a 1" puncture wound.
Wynder fled shortly after the stabbing, but was located about 10 minutes later. He is currently in the North Central Regional Jail for a malicious wounding charge. His bail is set at $25,000.
