With pools finally opening up and temperatures usually rising, Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. But you wouldn't have known judging by how empty local pools were Saturday, when temperatures lingered in the 60s.
BUCKHANNON -
The Buckhannon Fire Department will host a fundraiser next week.
The elimination dinner will be Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Buckhannon Moose Lodge.
Organizers will give away a cash prize of $1,000 and other prizes.
Dinner will start at 6p.m.
Tickets are $20 dollars with a dance to follow.
