The Randolph County Commission has approved a resolution in support of the Second Amendment.

The commission said Randolph County derives economic benefit from the safe use of firearms hunting, for example and that it supports all firearms allowed under the U.S. and state constitutions.

"We're trying to help our congressional leaders maybe tell them how we feel that we do support the Second Amendment. It took our own to support our congressional leaders to let them know how the people of Randolph County feel," said Chris See, commission president.

See said he's not sure whether other nearby county commissions have drafted similar resolutions.
