The West Virginia Division of Highways advises drivers that traffic will be delayed on WV 705 and Route 119, Mileground Road in Monongalia County, starting Friday, February 8 through Friday, August 30.

Alternate routes will be Route 67, Stewartstown Road, to Route 119, Point Marion Road.

Officials said the purpose for the delay is to construct a new intersection of Mileground Road and WV 705 as well as to widen WV 705 to the intersection of Stewartstown Road.

WV 705 will be reduced to two lanes during this time. Officials said night time lane closures can be expected on both WV 705 and Mileground Road as well.
