Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.
Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.

Faculty and staff showed their hidden talents at West Virginia University's fifth annual faculty and student talent show Friday night.
The show had five local celebrity judges including the Mountaineer Mascot Jonathon Kimble and former WVU athlete Ryan Nehlen.
Audience members saw familiar faculty and staff giving performances that include singing, dancing, storytelling and piano playing.
"I think it's just a lot of fun because a lot of different people from all around the campus get to come together," said Amber Tennant, a staff member at WVU's Human Resources Department. "People we don't normally get to interact with we get to spend some time with outside of the norm of work. So that's always very fun and just getting see the talents that are actually out there."
Fourteen faculty and staff members competed for the top spot.
