Chinese New Year is Sunday and on Saturday Healing Minds Clinic in Bridgeport held a party.
The party celebrated the Chinese New Year and the year of the snake.
The clinic offered Chinese food, tea tasting, and a tai chi demonstration by Gus Saldana, a licensed acupuncturist.
The owner of the clinic, Dr. Amy Hebb, said the celebration, and Saldana's demonstration was used to bring knowledge of another culture to the community.
"He's bringing in a whole other culture, the culture of Chinese medicine into our area. The purpose of that today was to introduce diversity, how we can be healing and understanding of everyone and everything in it," Hebb said.
