West Virginia State Regional Swim Meet Held on Saturday - WBOY.com: Clarksburg, Morgantown: News, Sports, Weather

The West Virginia Regional Swim meets were held across the state Saturday.

Region III swam at West Virginia Wesleyan in Buckhannon.

The top three swimmers in each event advanced to the state competition at WVU February 14-15.

A total of 12 at large bids, statewide, also advanced to the season's panicle event.

"It's just real exciting to be at states," said Bridgeport Swim Coach Jan Grisso. "The competition, races won by hundredths of seconds. The relays are amazing and it's great to see kids go there, and them trim 3 seconds off their times. It's a lot of adrenaline pumping."
