Prescription drugs in the wrong hands can be a seriously problem, especially on college campuses.

WellWVU said students illegally selling drugs such as Adderall and Ritalin is a major concern and something they have to deal with.

They said students aren't usually aware of the possible negative side effects.

WVU police chief Bob Roberts also warns about the potential harmful repercussions.

"Sometimes a student may think that taking one of these drugs to help them through a final or stressful period is okay, but it can lead to other issues. It increase your heart rate, your blood pressure," Roberts said.

The most serious consequence for anyone found illegally selling these drugs is serving two to five years in prison.
