CLARKSBURG -
The Clarksburg Mayor's Youth Council delivered valentines to veterans Monday evening.
The high school students hand made the valentines that they took to the veterans at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility.
One veteran said they appreciate being remembered.
"These kids came here this evening with the Mayor's Youth Council, we really appreciate that. I'm so happy that a lot of the older folks here, I'm 72 but the ones older than me really like this. The kids bring a smile to our faces and keep us happier. It's a good break and we appreciate it very much," said Paul Pitrolo, a veteran from Fairmont.
The Mayor's Youth Council is made up of high school students from Clarksburg city schools.
