Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire around 12:44 p.m. Tuesday on Fairmont Road in Monongalia County.

When first responders arrived, the fire was heavily involved, according to Mickey Rinehart, the Assistant Fire Chief with the Westover Fire Department.

Crews extinguished the fire and began protecting other mobile homes in the area, Rinehart said.

The resident was next door at her father's house when she came outside and saw her home on fire. The structure has been ruled a total loss.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The State Fire Marshal will be called in to investigate the fire.

Fire departments from Granville, River Road, Rivesville and Baxter also responded to the scene.
