A Harrison County Delegate has expressed interest in becoming the next speaker for the West Virginia House of Delegates.

A Fairmont newspaperman has used a unique way to raise funds for the 12 Marion County Food pantries.

The Times West Virginian holds its Gift of Love Food Drive every year.

This year, the Times surpassed its goal of $5,000, but still felt like it could raise more.

Publisher Chuck Jessup came up with the idea to stand on the roof all day to raise an extra $2,500.

The newspaper will distribute the food to the county's 12 food banks on Friday starting at 10 a.m.
