The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded a $30,000 grant to the Augusta Heritage Center at Davis and Elkins College.

The center will use the money to support its dance trail project, documentary recording projects, productions, workshop scholarships, and artist presentations.

Its director said the grant will allow it to do things above and beyond its budget.

"When you're working at getting the arts out into the community it's a labor of love but it also requires money," Joyce Rossbach, of the Augusta Heritage Center.

The Augusta Heritage Center will receive a lifetime achievement award next week from the International Folk Alliance in Toronto, Canada.
