BUCKHANNON -

West Virginia Wesleyan College's "We Lead Team" will hold a forum Wednesday, Feb. 13 on animal overpopulation.

Discussion topics will include spay and neutering, pet adoption, and action on the legislative level.

The forum will also include speakers including the director of the Humane Society of West Virginia.

Organizers said it's important for the community to understand the issue.

"It's a major problem here and I don't think people want to recognize that problem or they don't want to think about it, and this is just to spread the word and start coming up with ideas on what can be done about it," said Kaitlyn Noe.

The forum will start at 7 p.m. in the Nellie Wilson Lounge in Benedum Hall.

It will be free and open to the public.
