The City of Morgantown is getting ready for its third annual urban deer archery hunt.

The city is now accepting registration forms for the hunt which will run from September to December.

It said hunters harvested 118 deer last year and donated more than 1,600 pounds of venison to local kitchens and shelters.

To register, residents can visit the Citizen's Request MorgantownWV.gov. Click "Make A Request," and "Animal Control" category. There, they can specify landowner and have property that they would like to suggest for the upcoming hunt.
