The Harrison County Commission said Judge Thomas Bedell has ruled that it is constitutional for the city of Bridgeport to impose a fire fee on property owners who live outside city limits, but inside the first due area.
County commission filed a statement against the fire fee and said the people who filed the complaint could appeal Judge Bedell's decision to the state Supreme Court.
County commission does own property in Bridgeport's first due area but has not yet paid the fee.
