Preston County Woman Accused of Animal Cruelty Appears in Court

One of four Preston County residents arrested on animal cruelty charges stemming from a November animal seizure was in court Thursday.

Tonya Moats' preliminary hearing was heard by Magistrate Eugene Jenkins.

The case was continued to a motions hearing.

Tonya, along with Richard and George Moats, and Terry Bennett were arrested in November after more than 70 animals were seized from a home in Rowlesburg.
