An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

The Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport has been a shopping hot spot for more than 30 years now and soon it will unveil a new "face."
The mall has announced a $5.5 million renovation project with new sky lights, ceilings, and floors.
It said it hopes the new look will encourage other retailers to move into the mall.
"Now we know that in this community the tastes of consumers are changing a little bit. They are looking for a notch above what they were shopping for before. And that's what we're aiming for. Because whenever you have a fresh, modern shopping center you get retailers who want to come," said Joe Bell, of the Meadowbrook Mall.
The project should be finished by the end of October.
