The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is investigating a well site explosion on Berry Road in Flemington that happened early Friday morning.

There is one confirmed fatality as a result of the explosion, according to Harrison County 911. That person's name has not been released.

The well site is owned by EQT, according to officials.

Flemington Fire and EMS and Taylor County EMS also responded to the scene.
