WHEELING, WV -

Ever wonder what determines where a business shows up in Internet search results?

These days, nearly every business knows the importance of "Google juice," but what's a little more elusive is learning how to live on a digital landscape.

Three Google executives will be available to Wheeling-area businesses through an online stream presented by Direct Online Marketing of Wheeling. The event, "Get Found: Google Comes to Wheeling," will offer two different sessions, from noon to 3 p.m. and again from 3:30-6:30 p.m. March 5 at Direct Online Marketing at 4727 Jacob St. in Wheeling.

"We're proud to offer businesses the chance to hear directly from Google executives about the changing online landscape and how to get the most out of search advertising," said Justin Seibert, president of Direct Online Marketing. "Afterward, our team members will discuss search engines and social media in more detail and show attendees how they stack up against their competition."

Google's Vice President of Americas Marketing, Lisa Gevelber, will join Google Director of Agency Development, John Nicoletti, and Google Head of Channel Managed Agencies, Bickey Russell, in a video conference to discuss the ever-shifting digital landscape, and how businesses can use technology to grow.

Direct Online Marketing staff will follow up with more detailed information for each participant about marketing in the Upper Ohio Valley, and also offering one-on-one Web visibility evaluations to any interested attendees.

Seibert said the event will be relaxed but informative, with lunch offered during the first session and refreshments with beverages at the second session, along with door prizes and a drawing for a Galaxy Tablet 2 at each session.

The event is free, but registration is required for a head count. Visit http://www.directom.com/ for details.
