FSU's Thornton, A-B's Neace Receive WVIAC Honors

Fairmont State senior guard Isaac Thornton scored 44 points in the Falcons home loss to no. 3 West Liberty on Saturday. The Martinsburg native also recorded a double double in the Falcons win over Pitt-Johnstown earlier in the week, which was followed by a 21 point performance in FSU's victory over rival Alderson-Broaddus.

Thornton shared the award this week with West Liberty's Chris Morrow.

Alderson-Broaddus pitcher Ali Neace was named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Week. Neace pitched a no-hitter in the Battlers victory over the Virginia University of Lynchburg. The junior from Logan tossed five innings, striking out 10 batters while only walking two. Neace only faced 16 batters in the win.
