The West Virginia Farm Bureau is celebrating Food Check Out Week.
Farm bureau members will collect donations and shop for food and supplies at area Kroger stores to help each Ronald McDonald House in West Virginia.
More than $25,000 of cash, goods, and supplies helped stock their pantries last year.
"They provide housing, cooking facilities, bathing, laundry facilities for folks whose children are being treated at hospitals, so we felt this was a good opportunity to help those families at a time when they're in crisis," said Joan Harman, of the W.Va. Farm Bureau.
Members will start shopping at the Kroger on Patteson Drive in Morgantown this Saturday at 10 a.m.
There will be shopping events on Thursday and Friday in Huntington and Charleston.
