Two student groups at Webster County High School have created a suicide prevention seminar to reach at-risk students.
The Health Occupation Students of America and the Health Science and Technology Academy designed the seminar to train students to spot potential warning signs of suicide.
Group members said it can be effective because it's students helping students.
"I think it's going to be different because its students and we talk to each other everyday, at least at our high school and we know each other. It's not like, well here's another lecture from another adult that we get everyday in class. It's students and when we want to band together and change things, we can do it," said Cheyanne Coombs, of Webster County High School.
