Lewis County Sheriff's Office Arrests Man on Drug Charges

The Lewis County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man accused of selling meth to an undercover officer.

The sheriff's department said it received a tip that Matthew Painter was willing to sell a small amount of the drug in Upshur County.

The authorities in Lewis and Upshur Counties coordinated the controlled buy, arrested Painter, and charged him with delivery of a controlled substance.

He's in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $35,000.
