Volunteer organizations across the central part of the state want to help provide needed relief for victims of Superstorm Sandy.
The Region IV Long-Term Disaster Group is meeting this week at the Mount Hebron United Methodist Church in Jane Lew.
The group is a coalition of organizations that want to help meet the needs of people who need help after a disaster.
Superstorm Sandy may have been months ago, but the Lewis County Office of Emergency Management says some residents still need help.
"There's still some people with the blue roofs, in other words, tarps on roofs and stuff, and try to get these elderly people help," said Bill Rowan, Lewis County OEM Director.
West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters sponsors the group.
It will meet Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and said that if you're interested, you're welcome to attend.
