GRAFTON -

Strike 12 in Grafton is an establishment that lets you choose your atmosphere. You can have a drink at the bar, bowl a strike in the bowling alley, or have a meal in the dining room.

Charity Henshaw enjoys coming with her family.

"It's a very family friendly place so even if you don't want to be near a bar or alcohol, they have an entire different area that you can go," Henshaw said. "Which is what we do when we have our little guy with us. So it's what we love family oriented."

Strike 12 has a full service bar and family restaurant with a gluten free menu.

Faye Fike needs to eat gluten free for health reasons and likes having that option at Strike 12 but it's not what keeps her coming back.

"It's like coming home, really. People are friendly," Fike said. "The food is secondary, I think the atmosphere is family. You feel like family here."

The place is family owned and they created it's family friendly reputation.

"Myself and my son run the bowling side, my brother-in-law runs the total business development," said Chris Loftis, the owner. "We go around and we talk to everybody that comes in that we can and get to know them. I just don't put up with any shenanigans. Anybody that's looking for a place to get in trouble, this is not that place; this is for families."

The bowling alley, the family atmosphere and the menu keeps these customers coming back.

"Man, it's all good!" said Kathy Moats, a customer of the restaurant and weekly bowler. "I like their salads, and they're pizza's good."

Henshaw enjoys the pizza and the homemade salsa.

"They make a Pico de Gallo. I found out they make it fresh or something, I don't know," Henshaw said. "It is kicking, it is really good, I get it almost every time."

Fike said that the owners make sure they walk around and talk to all the customers.

"We were blessed when they bought this place because it was closed for a while," Fike said. "We thought it would never open again and to be blessed that it's opened but also the caliber of people that own it now."

The restaurant is located in the Loftis Bowling Center on Route 50 in Grafton. It is opened Monday - Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
