Update:

Sheriff's deputies said David Mazza was released from jail after someone posted his bond. That person has since requested a bail piece, so Mazza is back in the North Central Regional Jail.

Mazza will appear in court for a bail revocation on Wednesday afternoon.  He'll also appear in court on March 4 for a probable cause hearing, according to the sheriff's department.

Sabra Hardman will appear in court on Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.

Deputies said the child is still in Ruby Memorial Hospital and believe he is in stable condition.

Update:

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department has arrested a second person in the case of the five-month-old baby who went to Ruby Memorial Hospital last week with five broken ribs and bleeding in the brain.

The child's mother, Sabra Hardman, was charged with two counts of child neglect, one for allowing the child to have unsupervised contact with David Mazza, and another count for failure to get the child medical attention.

The sheriff's department said the child's injuries do appear to be intentional, and a third party is not suspected for those injuries. Investigators are still determining how those injuries happened.

Mazza and Hardman have other children with each other and other partners.

Child Protective Service has filed a motion in Circuit Court for the custody of the other children.

The couple could face additional charges.
