A two-vehicle accident in Harrison County closed Interstate 79 North Wednesday night.

It happened just before 8 p.m. near mile marker 125.

The Bridgeport Police Department said a semi truck carrying mail drove into the trailer of another truck carrying sugar.

Healthnet flew the driver of the mail truck to Ruby Memorial Hospital, where he is in serious condition, according to police.

The driver of the sugar truck was taken to United Hospital Center as a precaution.

Fire departments from Bridgeport and Anmoore also responded to the scene.

Both lanes of I-79 North reopened shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday.
