Health Access in Clarksburg has a new cancer detection machine called a colposcope.

A colposcope screens for pre-cancerous and cancerous cells in the cervix.

Health Access got the machine with money from the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Screening Program.

It said having a colposcope available close to home will make life easier for the low-income, uninsured women who use the clinic.

Health Access will conduct colposcopy screenings once a month.
