Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
The state has recognized a local conservation district for its efforts in bringing conservation to the public.
It has named the West Fork Conservation District the Education District of the Year.
The organization teaches people of all ages about the importance of conservation and how to apply it to farming and agriculture.
It said it wants the kids it teaches to take those lessons with them through life.
"We hope that they'll remember these programs and help with efforts if they ever get involved in a conservation field," said Dinah Hannah, of the West Fork Conservation District.
The district covers Harrison, Lewis, Gilmer, and Doddridge Counties.
