Some employees at two businesses in Monongalia County were recently cited by the sheriff's office for selling alcohol to minors.

The sheriff's office said it conducted alcohol compliance checks at eleven businesses on February 20, 2013.

It cited Abby Boyce, 20, of the Kroger at Suncrest Town Center and Marque Davis, 19, of the Valley Mart on Van Voorhis Road, for selling alcohol to an underage operative.

The sheriff's office congratulated nine other stores for not selling alcohol to minors. They are Sunnyside Superette on University Avenue, BP on Beechurst Avenue, CVS in Star City, Rite Aid on Patteson Drive, Kroger on Patteson Drive, Express Mart on Stewart Street, and BFS on University Avenue.
