A driver plowed into the side of a Quiet Dell home early Tuesday morning, leaving a gaping hole.

Harrison County Sheriff's deputies said it happened around 2:45 a.m. when a SUV driven by Dustin Jones, 31, was headed south on Route 20 and side swiped a car headed north.

The SUV went off the roadway, turned on its side and went through the wall of a home near Zach's Run Road.

Deputies said Jones failed a field sobriety test and was cited for driving under the influence. He was taken to United Hospital Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the other car and the occupants of the home were not injured.
