Clarksburg Police Department Upgrading Security Measures

Posted: Updated:

The Clarksburg Police Department is upgrading its security measures.

It will upgrade more than 10 cameras in and around the Clarksburg Municipal Building.

Chief Marshall Goff said the new cameras will make the building safer and give officers stronger evidence.

"Just updating the quality wasn't what we considered up to date and the save time on the DVR system for us to get a recording off wasn't very long at all so the system that we're going to have we're able to keep that for a period of 90 days," Chief Goff said.

All of the cameras should be up and running by the end of this week.

The upgrade will cost the department roughly $10,000.
