A woman charged with two counts of child neglect fainted Wednesday during a court hearing in Clarksburg.

Sabra Hardman went to United Hospital Center and her attorney waived her right to a preliminary hearing within 10 days.

The authorities said Hardman allowed her 5-month-old son to have unsupervised contact with David Mazza and failed to get the child medical attention.

Mazza faces a charge of child neglect.

Investigators said Mazza abused his son, who went to Ruby Memorial Hospital with broken ribs and bleeding on the brain.

Mazza will have his court hearing Thursday.
