SHINNSTON -
One of the businesses participating in West Virginia University's "Buy Local" campaign is celebrating its second anniversary this week.
The Treasure Chest in Shinnston is holding sales this week in honor of the occasion.
The Treasure Chest specializes in both new and used items, antiques, and hand made wooden items.
Its owner said it offers something that large, chain stores do not.
"When you come in here you're cared about, you're not just another customer. You're like family to us and we want you to come back. If it wasn't for the customers we wouldn't be able to stay in business. So we like to make them feel at home," said Butch Crislip, owner.
In addition to the sales the Treasure Chest is also raffling off some of the hand made wooden items.
The Treasure Chest has a Facebook page for more information.
