Fire destroyed a house in Marion County late Sunday night.

The Farmington Volunteer Fire Department said it happened in Rachel, near the old post office, just after midnight.

The house was vacant and no one was injured.

Mon Power was called to the scene to disconnect power lines that were sparking on the ground.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The fire is under investigation.
