WVU's Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering has received a scholarship fund from an alumnus.
Gail Gray and his wife Caryl donated $26,000 to the school for a student from West Virginia.
The Chair of the Lane Department said the donor also had some requests for what type of student would receive the scholarship.
"A very strong student from the state of West Virginia who already has a scholarship in place and that this money be used to help cover some of those extra incidental expenses. So that the student can not only not have to worry about tuition but not have to worry about some incidental expenses," said Brian Woerner, Lane Department Chair.
The scholarship will cover tuition and things like books and living expenses.
