Route 119 has reopened near Alderson-Broaddus College after a large gas leak, according to Barbour County 911 officials.

Authorities from the Barbour County Sheriff's Department, the Philippi Police Department, Barbour County EMS, Philippi Fire Department, and the Division of Highways responded to the scene, as did local utility workers.

Barbour County 911 officials said Route 119 was closed from the main entrance of A-B to the city's covered bridge.
