The West Virginia State Police in Preston County is investigating an accident that happened late Tuesday night on Gladesville Road.
Ron Williams, 45, of Ohio, was driving a Chevy Impala when he ran off of the road. Troopers said they believe he was traveling too fast for the road conditions and that alcohol could be a factor.
Williams and his passenger were both transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with severe injuries, according to state police.

An accident sent two people to local hospitals for treatment in Preston County early Wednesday morning.
According to 911 officials, one vehicle went off of Gladesville Road shortly after midnight.
