With pools finally opening up and temperatures usually rising, Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. But you wouldn't have known judging by how empty local pools were Saturday, when temperatures lingered in the 60s.
Fairmont Police arrested one person just after 12:28 a.m. Monday after responding to an ATV accident on Industrial Contracting Road in Fairmont.
Multiple people had been riding an ATV, according to Fairmont Police.
Two people were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with significant injuries and one person sustained minor injuries. Their names have not been released.
Police arrested Taylor Sutphin, 20, and charged him with DUI resulting in injury, driving on a revoked driver's license and obstructing an officer. He sustained minor injuries.
Sutphin is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
