The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal vehicle accident that happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies said a car was traveling southbound on Route 250 near Wal-Mart when it traveled off the roadway and into a tree.
Deputies have not released the name of the deceased.
Route 250 is currently closed in both directions while crews clear the scene.
