TUCKER COUNTY -
The Tucker County Sheriff's Department with assistance from the West Virginia State Police have arrested a Maryland man on drug charges.
Cody Eugene Lucas, 29, of the Mount Lake Park area of Maryland is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana, said Tucker County Sheriff Brian Wilfong.
Wilfong said authorities stopped Lucas' vehicle Thursday around 8 p.m. in St. George after his vehicle's headlight was burned out.
After approaching the vehicle, authorities detected a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After Lucas consented to have the car searched, police found two baggies containing marijuana along with 25 sealed containers of marijuana inside a McDonald's bag, Wilfong said.
A digital scale and smoking paraphernalia were also found.
Lucas is in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $25,000.
