The Mountain-EAR 5k race in Morgantown was held Saturday at Ruby McQuain Park.
The runners came together for the hearing and speech impaired in the area.
The funds help people that can't afford the services at the WVU Student Academy of Audiology.
"I actually met to someone who had a BAHA which is a Bone Anchored Hearing Aid which you wear behind your ear. There's a couple people here who are deaf," said Crystal Vimpeny, the Race Director and a third year Audiology student. "And then you have your regular runners coming up. But it is nice to have those runners here who are hearing impaired and they're here to run for it."
The Student Academy of Audiology offers many different programs including speech clinics and hearing evaluations.
